Rainbow Flourish

I love ink blending! I find it very relaxing.  Blending through stencils allows great variety to backgrounds and it’s fun to play around with.

The first of my cards this week blends pastel rainbow inks through the Sweet Dixie Fern Flourish stencil.

Using the Lavinia Thistle Branch, I stamped it horizontally and also the sentiment and added clear embossing powder.  Some of the pastel inks attracted the embossing powder too but I didn’t brush it off as I thought it would add to the decoration.

Finally, a black mat and some black Nuvo Drops finished the card.

My next cards have rainbow ink blending but this time using the Lavinia Feather Leaf stencil and inking on the diagonal.  The Thistle Branch was stamped a few times in one corner.

The card was finished with sentiment, a Lavinia fox and a little ink blending to ground the fox.  A few rhinestones were added for a bit of bling.

This card was made a similar way but uses the Mystic Swirl instead of the thistles.

The handy thing about using the diagonal pattern is that you can rotate the card to suit the direction that the animal is facing.
