Merry Mistletoe

  How are your festive preparations coming along? Things are somewhat hectic at our house.     The carpets were laid in the new rooms, which finally meant no more plaster and cement dust. What it also meant though was that we could no longer put off the cleaning! Everything is coated in dust, be it a horizontal or vertical surface, so it’s been a full-on onslaught of cleaning.   At least we can see where we’ve been!   I’m still crafting in my temporary spot in the study but hopefully I’ll be in my new craft room next weekend, provided that my new furniture arrives… It was lovely to have an hour out from cleaning this morning to make some tags with a lovely little die set I bought a few weeks ago.   It’s called Merry Mistletoe by Lawn Fawn and simply consists of 4 dies, which I cut from coloured and glitter card. Snowmen on Parade

This month’s Christmas offering features the Snowman Family by Woodware.   I fell in love with  this stamp when I saw it and it’s quite quick to colour in so is suitable for making multiples. To begin, I cut an A4 sheet of white card into four and stamped the snowmen.   I stamped 2 in MFT Hybrid ink and 2 in Versafine Clair Nocturn and heat set with clear embossing powder.  This gives a lovely shiny finish so I'll do it with all the cards in future.   For my first card, I Copic coloured the snowmen’s clothing in reds, added a light shading on the snow and finished with some glitter.   The greeting is the Let It Snow Border by Lawn Fawn, which I cut from some white glitter card.  You could make this card more personal by colouring the clothing in the recipient’s favourite colours or those of a team they follow.
